Tofacitinib?

Side Effects

Skin rash , shingles , increased blood pressure , abnormal blood test , fever , headache , nausea , vomiting , diarrhea ; or cold symptoms such as stuffy nose , sneezing , sore throat.

Drug Interactions

Tofacitinib is?not recommended to be used in combination with other biologic disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drugs (DMARDs) or potent immunosuppressive agents such as azathioprine or cyclosporine.

Indication

It is used for the treatment of the following inflammatory diseases: ? Rheumatoid arthritis ? Psoriatic arthritis ? Ulcerative colitis ? Ankylosing spondylitis ? Polyarticular juvenile idiopathic arthritis and juvenile psoriatic arthritis.

When not to Use

If you are allergic to tofacitinib or any of the other ingredients of this medicine. If you have a severe infection such as bloodstream infection or active tuberculosis , if you have been informed that you have severe liver problems, including cirrhosis (scarring of the liver) , if you are pregnant or breast-feeding.
